Market was good today: Despite the negative start today i.e. on March 14, the Indian stock market came back on track due to the rise in Bharti Airtel, Larsen & Toubro (L&T) and IT shares and closed with gains.

While S&P BSE Sensex had closed at 72,761.89 in the previous trading day, today it opened in the red at 72,570.10. Yesterday there was heavy selling in the market, due to which there was a decline. After reaching a low of 72,497.19, the market bounced today and reached a good high of 73,364.30 on BSE during intra-day trade.

Heavy shopping today
According to Bloomberg, Indian financial institutions on Wednesday bought shares heavily, taking advantage of the sharp decline in small and medium companies of the country. According to the data, investors including mutual funds, banks and insurance companies have bought shares worth a total of $1.1 billion, or about ₹824 crore. At the same time, foreign investors have sold shares worth a net $555 million i.e. about ₹416 crore.
